Knoxville Festivals just seem to get better and better and one of the best has got to be the Hola Festival. It’s super family-friendly and it’s a great day out if you’re watching the family budget and want good value.

The HoLa Festival is a day-long celebration of diversity and a cultural salute to our East Tennessee community. It’s also a local celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The Street Fiesta kicks off at 11am on Saturday September 24th and carries through to 8pm. (With an After Party later if you manage to get a sitter!)

Meet Dora the Explorer (courtesy of Comcast), learn, practice or show off your salsa moves, enjoy Hispanic food and see the Parade of Nations. Oh, and shop for unique and beautiful crafts, HoLa Festival collectibles, as well as souvenirs.  All sold by HoLa members only.

Before you travel through the festival pick up a “Passport” or a “Traveling Guide” for a nominal fee. Then use it to tour through the Exhibits of Latin America, Spain and the Caribbean.  At each table, you willthe kids will have an opportunity to learn about each country, practice Spanish, and collect flag stickers for their passports. (This activity takes place between 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) Note:   The Heritage and Children’s Sections will be closing at 6:00 pm.

The HoLa Festival is brought to you by HoLa Hora Latina.
